WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE WAY
Lending a Blessed Hand
Thank you for taking the time to come and learn more about us and how we worship at The Way.
At The Way, we worship in the Ancient-Future style of modern and orthodox Anglicanism. Our services change with each liturgical season, and we are currently using a proposed liturgy from the Anglican Church in North America. We believe that the Church is a family and children are a major part of who we are. We welcome all children--noise and all--into the worship of our Lord.
We come together each Sunday to celebrate the memorial of our Lord's Crucifixion and Resurrection. The Eucharist is the central focus of our worship together. It is at this time that we give thanks to Almighty God for His gift of Salvation through the sacrificial acts of His Son, Jesus Christ. We celebrate the Eucharist in memory of Jesus’ precious death and sacrifice in anticipation of His coming again.
At Church of The Way, children are one our of greatest priorities. Scripture instructs us to commit ourselves to the Lord and His ways. And in doing so, we are also to instruct our children in the ways of the Lord. We talk about them with our children when we are at home and when we are on the road, when we are going to bed and when we are get up (Deut. 6:7).
Sunday School plays a pivotal role in the raising of our children. We encourage our youngsters and teach them through hands on activities and group activities. Our Sunday School program is interactive and even goes home with the kids through an app based program provided by Deep Blue Curriculum.
The practice of Holy Baptism as a rite of admission to church communion is integral to Anglicanism. Baptism is a sign of new birth or Regeneration, whereby, as by an instrument, they that receive Baptism rightly are grafted into the Church; the promises of forgiveness of Sin, and of our adoption to be the sons of God by the Holy Spirit, are visibly signed and sealed; Faith is confirmed, and Grace increased by virtue of prayer unto God.
At The Way, we invite all who desire to have a relationship with the Lord regardless of age, to the waters of Baptism. We believe that there is one baptism for the forgiveness of Sin. If you have any questions please contact us and Fr. Ben would be more than happy to answer those questions.
